Biography
Dr. Tran Van Han is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the LGCGM-Structural Engineering Research Group, Department of Civil Engineering and Urban Planning at INSA Rennes, France. He received his PhD in Architectural Engineering from Sejong University in Seoul, South Korea, in 2023. His research focuses on finite element analysis, building acoustics, and the structural analysis of steel and concrete structures

Research Experience
- 2024–now: Developing FACILA, a steel connection system for timber cladding and reinforced concrete (RC) slabs.
- 2023–2024: Developed a novel SG thermal break using Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) cores in collaboration with SG company.
- 2023–2024: Developed a floating floor system with rubber cushions to reduce heavy weight impact sound for apartments, in partnership with Korea Disaster Prevention Technology Company Ltd.
- 2022–present: Developed a modular steel connector for modular steel high-rise buildings, in collaboration with Samsung C&T.
- 2020–2022: Developed a vibration attenuation system for raceway lighting, integrating a pulley friction damper to enhance earthquake survivability, in partnership with Sehong Inc, Ltd.
